With more than twelve square feet of landing space, the Black Diamond Mondo Crash Pad has your back when you hit up some of the tallest and scariest boulder problems. Black Diamond made the exterior out of an extremely durable nylon to protect it from the harsh punishments boulderers inflict on their pads every time they head up the mountain. Black Diamond also gave the top a PU coating for water-resistant and abrasive protection, and the bottom has an EPO treatment for waterproof protection that also prevents the pad from slipping underneath your feet. Inside the pad, you get two thin layers of closed-cell PU foam on the top and bottom that dissipate the force of your fall, and you also have a thick layer of high-compression PU foam in the center that keeps the pad sturdy and ready to catch you for many years.
