A rain coat designed for seamless integration with your pack.
When you're out on the trail and a rain storm blows in you basically have two options: take cover under the nearest tree (hoping there's no lightning), or keep on hiking and hope it will let up by the time you get to camp. Unless you have a decent rain jacket option B really isn't going to pan out too well for you, and that's where the Sierra Designs Women's Pack Trench Coat comes in. Designed to be worn with a backpack, this three-layer rain jacket provides ample ventilation at the underarms to keep you hiking comfortably, and it has a unique design that allows the hip belt of your pack to pass under the jacket, so you get additional protection from the rain. A low-profile hood lies flat against your head and is fitted with a stiff brim to make moisture roll from the hood. Two hand pockets stash a few trail goodies, and the adjustable cuffs and hem let you further customize the fit of the jacket to your liking.
