Whether you're exploring desert canyons in the early summer or venturing into the mountains in mid-winter conditions, the Sierra Designs Convert 2 4-Season Tent will give you the shelter you need to comfortably enjoy your stay in the backcountry. With its Convert series of tents, Sierra Designs set out to develop the first true four-season tent that will function just as well in a summer environment as it would in a winter one. The result is a unique double-wall tent that avoids some of the pitfalls that make a single-wall tent less than ideal in a summer scenario. Now redesigned with a removable fly, the tent is still constructed from a breathable canopy fabric, which helps condensation from accumulating along the interior of the tent wall. The tent is also designed to prevent spindrift and dust from entering the tent whether you're camped on a snowfield or sandy desert floor. The removable vestibule is ideal in a winter camping situation where additional storage space for gear is essential. When backpacking, the vestibule can be left back at the truck, shaving almost a whole pound off the weight of the tent. An external pitch makes the tent easier to set up, and the large waterproof window panel lets you enjoy the view from camp from the comfort of your tent.
