WHAT IT'S FOR:
Designed for medium to darker hair. Not recommended for bleached, highlighted, blonde hair or extensions.
WHAT IT DOES:
This at-home kit gives users the fastest, easiest way to create on-trend looks. For best results, follow usage instructions, saturate hair and do not use on previously bleached hair or extensions. Results may vary based on individual's hair and product application.
KEY INGREDIENTS:
- Squalane rehydrates hair.
- Castor oil improves hair manageability.
HOW TO USE IT:
Before You Begin:
- Lay a towel on your work station.
- Gather a mirror, pre-cut aluminum foils (approximately 12" x 5" per foil), a detangling brush, sectioning clips, hair ties and a shirt or smock that you don't mind getting stained.
- Remove any jewelry.
- Section the hair for desired technique, as instructed below, then put on the gloves included in the box. Remember: Don't get this on your scalp or skin!
Dip Dye Technique:
- Step 1: Sectioning. Separate hair into two sections by creating a center part line. Determine where the Dip Dye should begin (for short hair, place dye 2" from ends of hair, and for medium to long hair, place dye 4" from ends of hair). Secure each section with a hair tie where the Dip Dye will begin.
- Step 2: Application. Start with one side and apply product, thoroughly saturating the section. For a softer color transition, remove hair tie and use application tool to brush product up to blend. Sandwich the section between two sheets of foil. Fold or scrunch to keep in place. Process the next section.
Money Piece Technique:
- Step 1: Sectioning. Separate face-framing Money Pieces into two equal sections. Tie remaining hair toward the back of the head. Clip each Money Piece section up and away from the face.
- Step 2: Application. Place foil underneath hair and apply product to section, starting 1/4" from the scalp. Paint downward and evenly so hair is fully saturated. Don't forget the underside of each section! Secure foils, making sure bleached hair is not exposed to the air.
Peek-A-Boo Technique:
- Step 1: Sectioning. Separate 1"-wide Peek-A-Boo sections near the nape of the neck, on left and right sides. Tie remaining hair toward the back of the head. Clip each Peek-A-Boo section up.
- Step 2: Application. Place foil underneath hair and apply product to the section, starting 1/4" from the scalp. Paint downward and evenly so hair is fully saturated. Don't forget the underside of each section! Secure foils, making sure bleached hair is not exposed to the air.
Post Application:
- Allow to process for 45 minutes.
- Remove foils, then rinse with warm water, avoiding contact with the eyes.
- Follow with Pay Day Instant Repair Shampoo and Pay Day Instant Repair Conditioner.
- Gently towel-dry hair, then apply Cash In Instant Repair Serum, focusing on the newly colored portions.
- Follow with your favorite IGK styling products.
